Friday 3/8/24 Joke In Your Hat Day & Read Around The School Event

Wear your favorite hat with a joke inside! Teachers will be looking for a good laugh today and passing out prizes to students who
tell a great joke. Students will also participate in a read around the school event where they get to visit other classrooms and be
read a story.

Thursday 3/7/24 Curl Up With A Good Book/Book-nic

Wear your favorite school appropriate pajamas and bring your favorite book you curl up with at home!
Please send your child to school with a book of their choosing and a large towel/blanket to sit on for our school-wide “book-nic.”
Students will gather as a class on the field or blacktop in the afternoon with their book and towel/blanket sometime between
1:45-2:45 p.m.

Wednesday 3/6/24 Words On A Shirt Day

Wear a shirt with as many words as you can...the student in each class wearing the shirt with the most words will win a prize and
certificate to take home. Homemade shirts are permitted. Please ensure language on shirts is appropriate for school. (Students
should count how many words are on their shirt before arriving at school.)

Tuesday 3/5/24 Dress Up Like Your Favorite BOOK Character

Have fun dressing as your favorite BOOK character! To participate, students must carry around a book with the character
featured in it during the school day. Feel free to stop by the library Monday and check out a book if needed. (first come, first
serve!)

Monday 3/4/24 Black, White, And Red All Over!

We are celebrating Dr. Seuss’ birthday! Students are encouraged to wear black, white, and red today. Feel free to add some Dr.
Seuss flare to your outfit! Mystery Readers, Drop Everything and Read, and Door Decorating Scavenger Hunt are all starting
today and continuing throughout the week. Make sure to turn in your Feed Your Brain Tickets for a chance to win prizes and your
Caught You Reading photos from home!
